Abundance

I saw God in my yoga practice today as I felt an overwhelming sense of abundance. An abundance of breath, ease and strength. One of my favorite things of yoga is mindfulness and affirmations. Living in a world that is chaotic and stressful, I find peace and joy learning of mindfulness and practicing on and off the mat. The more I incorporate positive affirmations in my practice, the more I believe. It is so hard to be immersed in a world that constantly bombards us with messages. Sifting through them is time consuming and depressing. But in yoga, it is here that I feel what God really thinks of me. For that is all that matters to me. To be in the world, but not of the world. I don't want to fit in. I want to understand His will for me and do it.

This month I can't help but feel an added measure of abundance for all that God has blessed me with. I feel I am standing on the shoulders of my ancestors, those who came before me, blessed me with so much and worked hard so that I can enjoy the blessings of their labors. So I invite you to ponder on the many blessings that you enjoy because of God. Really think outside the box for those that are not apparent right away. He is a God of goodness and loving kindness. In His name, even Jesus Christ, amen.
