HUGS

Did you know that the average individual craves a hug 13 times in a day? Hugs that last 20 seconds provide significant stress relief including oxytocin release. Hugs provide many physical and mental benefits. I saw God’s hand in my life during my yoga practice which included a flow of Goddess Pose Utkata Konasana. I moved into Goddess pose, then straightened the legs, reached both arms wide and bent at the elbows to wrap my arms around my torso giving myself a hug. I find it difficult to show love to myself sometimes. Yoga helps me to do this, by slowing down, being present and giving myself some love. I am fascinated with the hug statistics and knowing or myself the positive benefits of hugs in my relationships, especially in my family. So I invite you to go hug someone you love. We all need those blessed benefits.
