SLEEP

Did you know that sleep allows your hormones to regulate? Your muscles and tissues to recover? Keeps your immune system healthy? Sharpens your brain functions? And increases positive mental health? I find much joy and satisfaction in learning about the body and all the amazing things it can do. I saw God in my day as I increased my learning of my body. Now what does this have to do with yoga? You may be wondering……well, sometimes it is difficult to fall asleep and have a restful sleep when the mind is doing what it does best: thinking! What helps me immensely is to practice Restorative Yoga before bed. A few simple asanas, connecting and drawing awareness to my breath is so influential to restful sleep. So give it a try. You may find that Restorative Yoga with an open mind before bed is beneficial to rejuvenating sleep.
