 5. Accept What Cannot Be Changed: In yoga I have been taught and gently reminded to love myself. All of myself. I am all of my imperfections and goodness. I am unique and so are you. There may be some parts of us that are similar or even the same as others. But we have many, many parts that compile our beings, our hearts, our minds, our souls. No one else in the whole universe is like you. No one else can do the things you can do. I invite you to ponder these truths, let them sink deep into your soul.

6. Keep on Changing Yourself: Keep improving, keep pressing forward, keep learning and growing. It is a choice. Only you can choose where you want to go.

7. Commit Yourself to a Great Cause: Commit to a cause to fuel the fire within you. Something that inspires you, that strengthens your character and enriches the lives of others while at the same time enriching yours.

8. Believe You Can Succeed: Do you truly believe that you can make a difference? I didn’t. For the longest time I would tell myself that I wasn’t as good as someone else. That there were dozens or more individuals that could do all I do so much better than I. That why should I try when there was someone out there who could improve, make, create, contribute more effectively than I. But then I realized as I turned to God more and more that I was willing. All He needs is a willing heart. We may not do everything perfectly and there may be someone who is better at something that us, but I know that as we are willing and give our hearts to God, that He takes those humbling offerings and magnifies them to be glorious.
