CAST A NET OF GRATITUDE
I saw God today in my yoga practice. Towards the end of my practice I was invited to find gratitude, to seek it during my mindfulness practice. I feel the beautiful yoga teacher led me to settle in to my physical body, in my space and draw my awareness to my breath. Once that foundation was established, it was then when I was able to tune out distractions, worries and fears and focus on my blessings from God instead. “To capture joy, we must first cast a net of gratitude.” -Mother Teresa.
Gratitude is powerful! It can change your mindset and your health. I have seen this in my yoga practice. The most amazing truth is that I can carry gratitude that I have cultivated on my yoga mat through my practice into my daily life.
Individuals who focus on gratitude and positive emotions have improved long-term health. Isn’t that wonderful?! And the more we look for gratitude by counting our blessings from God the more we see.
So I invite you to try a gratitude challenge with me.
Set a timer for 5 minutes. Focus on what you are grateful for. Perhaps you want to record your thoughts. Perhaps you want to reach out to someone and tell them why you are grateful for them.
So, what are you grateful for today?
